Recently, McDonald's in Canada launched a set of mini hockey sticks that people can purchase with a meal. These are miniature replicas of sticks from hockey players in the player's design. We have seen McDonald's come out with other NHL items in the past, including small jerseys, trophies, and previous set of sticks. However, one important thing to note is that you do not get to choose a stick. Rather, you only know the stick when you open it. I was quite fortunate in getting one from a player I had wanted because he was on my hockey pool team this year. When you compare each stick to one another, other than the goalie stick, the rest of them differ by the design printed on top and the curvature of the blade. The manufacturer can take the same base design and only needs to make some slight alterations to fit all the players in the collection. Even so, people will want one stick over the other based on the player it represents. The stick may just be a stick, but it also caters to people's desires. In a similar vein, be quiet! released two new mice recently, and today we are looking at the Dark Perk Sym. This mouse features an ambidextrous body and design, catering to different users and their preferred grip. Will it offer enough differences that potential customers will choose this Dark Perk? Let us read on to find out!

Today's review unit of the be quiet! Dark Perk Ergo came from a Newegg distribution center in Ontario, California, United States. Traveling to our APH Networks location in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, this corrugated cardboard box came in decent condition. There were a few bruised corners, but nothing to really suggest any severe damage. In addition to the Dark Perk Sym, be quiet! also sent us their Dark Perk Ergo.

The retail containers of the be quiet! Dark Perk mice are standard design for this company. This is an all-black box with the product displayed in the middle. The product name is underneath with the be quiet! logo on the top right corner. The side panels are also clean with only the product name found on here. At the back, there are more specifications about the mouse inside, which is useful for comparison. The box separates from each other to get to the product inside, but it is sealed at the top and bottom to keep everything together.
Before we continue, I have grabbed the specifications from the manufacturer's website for your perusal:

Once you break the top and bottom seals, you can open the box to see a few things. First, the Dark Perk Sym is held at the top in a hard paper tray. A small foam pad is placed on the top lid to prevent the mouse from bouncing about. Under the tray, there is a black cardboard box that contains all the accessories and a small quick start guide. This gives users quick start, certification, and warranty information. The be quiet! Dark Perk Sym comes with a standard two-year limited warranty.
