In between the two cities of Calgary and Edmonton, there is a smaller place right in between called Red Deer. Every time I drive between the two larger cities, I think about stopping in the middle before I realize I have no reason to do so. However, one thing that is visible from the highway is a large windmill built on top of a store called Donut Mill. I have always wanted to go there because of the whimsical nature of the building and donuts that are a bit more niche or special. It was not until two weeks ago that I finally went for donuts. It was neat to see how many unfamiliar flavors were available in the store. In addition to the standard ones, they had many glazed and filled options. I especially liked their Orange Creamsicle and Boston Cream. Even so, my favorite donut is still a honey cruller, which is readily available from any donut shop. Despite all the options and flavors I have seen and tried, there is something special about something basic or readily available. It may not be the most exotic option, but it will do in a pinch. In a similar vein, today we have the Epomaker Nex Lite. Epomaker is marketing this as a budget-friendly mouse with capable performance and unique features. How does the Nex Lite perform and will it be what users want? Let us read on to find out!
Today's review unit of the Epomaker Nex Lite traveled far from the company's headquarters in Shenzhen, China. Traveling with eMile Express, this brown corrugated cardboard box is sealed in orange packing tape and arrived at our APH Networks location in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was slightly dented in the corners and edges, but this is nothing to be too concerned about. Along with the TH65, we received other Epomaker peripherals, including the HE65 V2 TMR, HE75 V2 TMR, and TH65.
Unlike the keyboards, the Epomaker Nex Lite has a different looking retail box. On the top left corner, there is an Epomaker logo with the product name underneath. There are four features prominently displayed, including wired and wireless connectivity options, a PAW3311 sensor inside, adjustable DPI sensitivity setting, and a small smart display on the top. We will explore these features in our review. A tagline at the bottom says "Tri-mode Wired & Wireless Gaming Mouse with Smart Display Dock". Finally, the right side shows the mouse in the white variant scaled down. On the sides and back, we have more features and specifications of the Nex Lite mouse.

Out of the box, the Epomaker Nex Lite comes with several accessories. The mouse is stored in a translucent plastic bag to prevent damage. Easily scratched areas like the screen on the top and the skates underneath are lined with plastic tape to prevent surface marks. A second plastic bag holds the charging and wireless connection dock. A white braided USB Type-C to Type-A cable that measures 1.8m is also included. Next, there are two sets of grip tape to fit the mouse, as well as an extra set of PTFE skates. Finally, there is a quick start guide to help users start using the Epomaker Nex Lite.
