From CNET: Google is updating its search offering to show listings for live TV channels.
Searching for a show like "Game of Thrones", for example, will show results for which channels are airing the show and at what times. This will appear alongside Google's existing information, which indicates where you can watch the show using on-demand services, such as the Google Play Store or Apple's iTunes.
"What we're seeing is that more and more, viewers are turning to their phones to find out what to watch, where to watch it and when it's available," said Daniel Alegre, Google's president of global partnerships, in a company blog post. "In fact, searches for TV shows and films on mobile have grown more than 55 percent in the past year alone."
Alegre says that the update is "coming soon".
