From CNET: Users of iOS who have longed dreamed of deleting Apple's preinstalled apps from their devices will finally get their wish with iOS 10. And now, Apple is taking its own step in that direction by removing its Game Center from the first iOS 10 beta update to developers.
Though Apple did not specifically mention Game Center's removal during its WWDC keynote on Monday, it addressed the change in its initial iOS 10 developer documentation. "The Game Center app has been removed," reads a clause in the GameKit section. "If your game implements GameKit features, it must also implement the interface behavior necessary for the user to see these features."
Apple first introduced Game Center as part of its iOS 4.1 update in 2010. The app allows users to connect with other gamers so they can track and compare high scores and start multiplayer games.
