From DailyTech: Gateway has announced the addition of a couple new all-in-one computers to its Gateway One ZX series. The machines have a new industrial design that sets them apart from previous Gateway products. The new design has a curved bottom edge with lighting rather than the straight line on the bottom of the other machines in the line. The new AIOs include the Gateway One ZX4951 and the ZX6951. The main difference between the two is the size of the screen with the first machine having a 21.5-inch screen and the second offering a 23-inch screen. Both of the new AIOs have HD resolution and the 6951 has an integrated TV tuner. “The demand for all-in-one desktop PCs took off last year with the introduction of Windows 7 and its touch screen capabilities, and as the technology became more powerful and less expensive,” said Steve Smith, senior business manager of consumer desktops, Acer America. “The newest additions to our ZX One Series of PCs expand the choices available, making these highly stylized PCs more accessible to a wider range of customers.” The lighting on the bottom of the AIOs can be adjusted to different brightness settings to light the wireless keyboard in a dark room and add ambiance to the room according to Gateway. The machines share many of the same hardware features with 4GB of RAM standard that can be upgraded to 16GB. Storage is to either a 500GB or 640GB HDD. Both of the models also have HD audio with 5.1 channel surround sound. The processors inside the AIOs are Pentium or Core i3 offerings and they both have Blu-ray drives. View: Article @ Source Site |
