BlackBerry Offers Up BB10 Demo for iOS, Android Users

From DailyTech: BlackBerry is giving Android and Apple users a sneak peek at what its new BlackBerry 10 (BB10) operating system can do -- right through their mobile browser.

BlackBerry wants to do more than just tell the world about BB10. It wants to show it why the new OS is comeback-worthy for the struggling company, and maybe convince a few iOS and Android users to switch along the way.

All iOS and Android users have to do is go to BlackBerry.com/glimpse and an interactive walkthrough of BB10 will appear.

It's not a free-for-all allowing users to poke through all the ins and outs of BB10, but rather a walkthrough of the features that requires a quick tap or swipe now and then. It shows off features like Screen Share, Time Shift, Hub and predictive keyboard.

BlackBerry may have had a rough year or so with a huge service blackout in 2011 and market share loss to Apple and Android ever since, but things are turning around for the BB10 maker.

It introduced the BB10 OS in January and recently released its first BB10-powered device -- the Z10.

A recently-leaked BB10 roadmap revealed that many new BB10 devices will roll out this year, including tablets and phablets. So of course BlackBerry wants to show everyone why they should switch to the BB10 OS.
