From DailyTech: MSI has announced its new GE40 gaming notebook that combined an Intel Haswell-based Core i7 Core i7-4702MQ processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M GPU. The new high-tech gaming computer weighs 4.4 pounds and is less than an inch thick. The GE40 uses a “Matrix” technology that allows three different display to be connected simultaneously, including the notebook’s 14” 1600x900 screen. The computer also has Sound Blaster Cinema and Audio Boost technology onboard. The GE40’s body is constructed out of aluminum and can be had in two basic configurations featuring a 750 GB hard drive alone or the 750 GB hard drive combined with a 125 GB SSD. Both versions feature 8 GB of memory, dual USB 3.0 ports, and a single USB 2.0 port. “The GE40 was designed for mobile gamers seeking the best in gaming performance but not wanting to carry around larger laptops,” said Andy Tung, vice president of sales for MSI in the U.S. “Even though the GE40 is exceptionally light and nimble, it is still packed with high-performance components worthy of a desktop replacement unit.” The GE40 is available now and starts at $1,399.99.
