From CNET News.com: Yahoo has officially retired its e-mail service in China. The move comes as no surprise since Yahoo announced it back in April as part of a deal with Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba. Yahoo has been transitioning more of its key services in China to Alibaba since 2005 when it bought a chunk of the Chinese e-commerce company. Yahoo has already been advising Yahoo Mail users in China to move to Alibaba's Aliyun e-mail service. For users who take that offer, Yahoo has promised e-mail forwarding to their new accounts until December 31, 2014. View: Article @ Source Site |
