From PC Mag: LG this week expanded its range of portable, outdoor friendly speakers with the launch of the Xboom 360.
The Xboom name is already well-known, but associated with a number of smaller wireless speakers. With the Xboom 360, LG is going big and offering a portable speaker that wouldn't look out of place at a party. It offers omnidirectional 360-degree sound, and LG claims its patented technology means "you no longer have to move around to find the listening sweet spot."
The speaker stands 20 inches tall and weighs 12.8 pounds. LG integrated a handle for portability, but also a 360-degree mood lighting feature with Ambient, Nature, and Party presets. The exterior of the Xboom 360 is a durable fabric and will be offered in beige, burgundy, charcoal black, and peacock green color options.
The speaker uses a 5.25-inch glass fiber woofer and a 1-inch titanium horn tweeter to offer 120W of power output. The claimed battery life on a single charge is 10 hours, while recharging takes five hours. Connectivity includes Bluetooth, USB 2.0, and AUX options. It's also possible to wirelessly link two of the speakers together to "double the sound output" for larger gatherings.
