Motorola Unveils New Sub-$200 Moto G Phones.

From PC Mag: The Moto G and Moto G Play measure 6.58 by 3.01 and 0.33 inches (HWD) and weigh 7.13 ounces each. They both feature large 6.7-inch LCDs with a variable refresh rate of 60Hz to 120Hz and up to 1,000-nits of brightness. For durability, Motorola covers the screens in Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and both devices are IP52 rated to withstand solid particles and water drips. The backs of these devices are covered in a leather-like texture with bold Pantone colors.

Both devices ship with Android 16 and run on a MediaTek 6300 processor with 4GB of RAM. For connectivity, both the G and G Play support 5G (sub-6GHz and C-Band, but not the faster mmWave), Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and Wi-Fi 5. Both support one physical SIM and one eSIM. Both also have 3.5mm audio jacks to plug in wired headphones if you choose.

Motorola equipped each phone with a 5,200mAh battery. The G can charge at up to 30W wired, while the G Play charges at up to 18W.

Apart from charging speeds, cameras separate the two models. The Moto G has a 50MP f/1.8 camera and a 2MP f/2.5 macro camera on the rear with a 32MP f/2.2 front-facing camera. The G Play uses a 32MP f/2.2 lens as its main camera and an 8MP f/2.2 front-facing camera. Video capture tops out at 1080p at 30 frames per second (fps) on both devices.
