Was 1MORE able to continue a good trend with their open design earbuds? To begin, the 1MORE Fit SE Open Earbuds S30 is a solidly built set of earbuds. The matte plastic feels very nice, and does not leave fingerprints or oil marks easily. The material does more than just feel nice, as it also feels very sturdy, and should prove to be durable. The same goes for the carrying case, which is also well-built. It is definitely on the larger size for earbud carrying cases though, and will be noticeable when carried in your pockets. These are open design earbuds that use an ear hook design to keep them in place. On that topic, however, like the Fit Open Earbuds S50, the ear hooks here become quite uncomfortable after wearing them for some time. I understand the S30 and S50 were released very close to each other, so hopefully 1MORE can improve on this with future models. On the actual sound quality, the 1MORE Fit SE Open Earbuds S30 was an interesting, although familiar experience, having just reviewed the S50, which also has an inverse W-shaped sound signature. Speaking as objectively as I can, this may be off-putting for users who are more used to the traditional flat or V-shaped sound signatures. As mentioned in my Fit Open Earbuds S50 review, I do appreciate other advantages that open design earbuds provide, with aspects like improved soundstaging and environmental awareness, although this may come down more to personal preference. Addition codec support for LDAP or aptX will be nice. At a retail price of $50 as of press time, this is a reasonable price. At the same time, the TOZO Open Buds are also available for $50, while the higher-end S50 are available for $85. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of closed design earbuds out there, so your options are endless. If you are looking for a solid pair of open design earbuds that are solidly built, have decent sound quality, and can last you a while on one charge, the 1MORE Fit SE Open Earbuds S30 are a decent option for the price.
