Page 4 - Conclusion
If you have only read the introduction of this review, and skipped straight to this conclusion, I highly suggest you to give at least a quick glance at Page 3. As I have mentioned in the introduction, we here at APH Networks take our audio reviews very seriously, and I believe it our subjective audio analysis carries substantial information that cannot be summarized into a simple "good" or "bad" at the end. Now, if you have actually been following through with our entire article, then you may know where this conclusion is heading. However, I have left out a very important element of the BitFenix Flo up until this point, and this alone may flip the entire justification of our closing statement around. And this, of course, is the price. Carrying a regular retail price of around $80, and costing around $40 to $50 at major online retailers at press time, it is actually quite impressive in terms of what you get for the money. From a physical perspective, the BitFenix Flo is a well-constructed headset, which is rare for this price range. It uses high quality plastic, and I found it very comfortable to use day to day. It comes with all the necessary cables for various needs, whether you are on-the-go, or keeping it at home with your desktop computer. Of course, the most important thing of any headset is its audio performance, and this is where I think BitFenix unlocked a substantial achievement. For about $40 to $50, the results are quite a bit beyond what I have expected for the price. Have I heard better headphones before? Definitely. Have I heard better headphones for $40 to $50? Not really. If you are an enthusiast on a budget, I will have to say the Flo is pretty commendable for both music and gaming. It will require a little more power to drive, but if you have something that already capable of delivering a powerful output, the BitFenix Flo gaming headset offers quite a bit of thump for your buck.
