Page 5 - Conclusion
How well does the FridgePower system work in the real world? To put it simply, pretty good. The 2016Wh LiFePO4 battery was able to deliver 85.7% of the rated capacity according to my tests, which, while less than the Elite 200 V2's 97.8%, is still reasonable accounting for inverter and other losses. Adding the BlueCell 200 doubled the runtime, which is expected, given it has the exact same capacity as the main unit. If you need even more capacity, you can easily daisy chain up a total of three additional BlueCell 200 units to the FridgePower for a combined 8kWh, which is convenient. The UPS' 10ms response time easily handled fridges and PCs in my simulated power failure tests with no interruptions. The system also easily handled a single hair dryer, since it can deliver up to 1800W output. The only way for me to get it to trip is to run two hair dryers simultaneously, but so will your house. Electrical performance aside, its slim 7.5cm form factor easily fits behind your fridge, on top of your fridge, or really anywhere you need it. The Display 1 display module worked seamlessly out of the box. I am also happy to find out BLUETTI finally implemented a battery charge limit for longevity. In terms of areas of improvement, I have a few things to note. First, I recommend using a C20 rather than a C14 input plug for safety. Second, move the power button and indicator LEDs from the bottom to the top or front. Third, include a stronger leatherette handle strap. Power Lifting mode is capped at 1000W, which is a bit lower than expected. I was able to connect to Wi-Fi, but not the company's cloud servers. The Wi-Fi connection procedure should also be improved. Lastly, remove the unnecessary advertisements and weather widget in the app main screen. The FridgePower, BlueCell 200, and Display 1 have MSRPs of $1300, $1200 and $90, respectively. That said, at press time, you can get in on the super early bird price of $1400 for both the FridgePower and BlueCell 200, plus another $50 for the Display 1, which is an incredible price for a 4kWh capacity system. If you are looking for a large capacity UPS with the latest battery technology for your fridge and beyond, the BLUETTI FridgePower system is certainly worth considering.
