Cooler Master MM720 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

Unlike the game "Among Us", the Cooler Master MM720 does not try to hide the fact it is visibly different from other ultralight mice. However, it would be unfair to label the MM720 as an imposter, especially as we have both excellent and improved aspects on this mouse. Physically speaking, the Cooler Master MM720 is shaped for claw-grip users. From a build quality standpoint, the body is quite sturdy and exhibits no signs of flex or rattling noises. In addition, we now have IP58 rating on the MM720, which means we should have even better resistance to the elements. Other strong features include a longer lasting pair of primary switches, Cooler Master's Ultraweave cable, RGB lighting, and a solid MasterPlus software experience. Underneath, we have the great PixArt PMW3389, which is a reliable and performant sensor. Gaming with this mouse is not an issue as there are only positive signs in tracking. In reality, the only thing about the MM720 that I found troubling was the switches employed here. While the LK optical switches should endure more clicks and generally offered good tactile feedback, its squeaky presses during my testing was unfortunate. I personally would have been alright with forgoing the ingress protection rating if it means having a solid switch from Omron, but I can understand this design decision. Even so, the Cooler Master MM720 does have one more trick up its sleeve, as this comes in at slightly lower price at $50 USD, which is $10 cheaper than the MM711. As such, if you want a claw-grip mouse without the weight, then the Cooler Master MM720 is still a great choice.
