Page 4 - Conclusion
The Cooler Master Storm Xornet II is a mouse that can be comfortably used for both gaming and productivity. Compared with the original Xornet, it adds an RGB LED light that can provide visual feedback on which sensitivity setting it is on. For gaming performance, the Avago 3320 optical sensor and Omron switches provide top level of precision and clicking experience. The maximum 3500 DPI sensitivity is not particularly high, but it still allows gamers and enthusiasts alike to perform actions required when rapid responses are needed. I found in Counter-Strike 1.6, the 3500 DPI could make the character to turn reasonably quick enough when multiple directions need to be monitored. For those who are picky enough, keep in mind this is priced as an entry level product. It features a fairly mainstream optical sensor, and the weight of the mouse is not adjustable. On the other hand, the Xornet II features higher suitability for office users. This mouse turns out to be the most comfortable claw grip mouse I have ever used. There are three reasons. Firstly, the ergonomic design of the shell allows all five fingers to have comfortable holding positions on the mouse. I am extremely satisfied with the ring finger resting place. This feature is very helpful when you need to hold the Xornet II for long time in work. Secondly, the two Teflon gliding pads cover a large area of the bottom of the mouse, which provides a smooth gliding experience on most surfaces people will encounter in daily life. Thirdly, this mouse is small and light. When you need to travel, it will not take too much space in your laptop bag, and it is also light enough to be carried in a backpack. Generally speaking, the Xornet II is comfortable to use, and it provides enough gaming performance for budget gamers. The retail price of about $33 at the time of writing this review is reasonable for the performance it has, and who can overlook its outstanding ergonomic design?
