About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Our next set of tests are the usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. For the most part, it is a favorite among reviewers and I have grown to embrace it as much as the next for the last little while. ATTO uses easily compressible data, so compression-heavy controllers will perform very well here.

The Crucial P310 2280 2TB hit peak speeds of 6080MB/s write and 6510MB/s read. These numbers were average again, matching the manufacturer quoted write speed of 6000MB/s, but performing below the 7000MB/s read. Under the write and read curves, the P310 2280 2TB was quick to reach its peak speeds. This was faster than the Kingston NV3 2TB. Its smaller transfer performance was like the Netac NV7000-Q, although the P310 reached a higher peak speed. In write, the P310 2280 2TB plateaued around 128KB packet sizes and reached near its peak at 1MB packet sizes. As for the read peak, the P310 2280 2TB flattened out at 64KB, but reached its peak at 2MB. Overall, this was a decent performer.
