About HD Tune Pro 5.70
HD Tune Pro is a hard disk / SSD utility with many functions. It can be used to measure the drive's performance, scan for errors, check the health status (S.M.A.R.T.), securely erase all data and much more.

Unfortunately, HD Tune does not generate any fancy independent graph outputs in particular, so I just took a screenshot of the program. The Crucial T500 2TB's throughput remained very flat on average. While HD Tune is more of a drag race than a clear indication of real-life performance, it is an excellent storage performance reference among SSDs with the same controller. The results were good across the range and the recorded access time was low, as we would expect from a solid state drive.
The T500 2TB posted an average of 2048.7MB/s for its sequential read speed, which is a bit low compared to other performance PCIe 4.0-based drives. The Kingston FURY Renegade 1TB posted 2811.8MB/s, ADATA Legend 960 1TB came in at 2391.7MB/s, WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD 1TB scored 2366.0MB/s, and the Lexar Professional NM800 PRO 2TB delivered 3065.7MB/s. It is faster than the budget mainstream Crucial P5 Plus 2TB at 1677.6MB/s though. At the end of the day, HD Tune may not be the best test for solid state drives all the time, but these results are always interesting to look at.
