The CyberPower GX950UC is an uninterruptible power supply aimed at the enthusiast from a veteran in the field. How well did it do its job? Straight up on performance, the GX950UC delivered as expected for a UPS with a nominal 78Wh sealed lead acid battery. My system generating a 165W load lasted just over 13 minutes, which is more than enough time to shut the PC down safely. Its fast 8ms response time was fast enough to sustain power with no issues to the connected devices. I also like the GX950UC's slim design and RGB LEDs, as one would expect from any gaming-focused device in 2026. There are a few things to note before you take out your credit card at your favorite online or physical retailer though. The CyberPower GX950UC's 510W power output is acceptable for most setups, but the modern gaming PCs can easily exceed that under load, especially if you have monitors and peripherals connected as well. The sealed lead acid battery has relatively short lifespan, takes forever to charge, has low load capabilities, and has an undesirable discharge curve. A LiFePO4 battery can charge much faster, perform better, and last longer, not to mention the cost is quite reasonable nowadays. The GX950UC has no shutdown software support. Lastly, the UPS' slim design only allows room for one large spaced outlet, meaning it can only support one power adapter. For about $140 at press time, the CyberPower GX950UC is a reasonably priced UPS aimed at the enthusiast crowd that performs as expected, but CyberPower can really up the game if they implement the latest battery technology.
