About 3DMark
3DMark includes everything you need to benchmark your hardware in one app. Whether you're gaming on a smart phone, tablet, notebook, laptop, desktop, or a high performance gaming PC, 3DMark includes a benchmark designed specifically for your type of device. And it's not just for Windows. You can compare your scores with Android and iOS devices too. It's the best 3DMark we've ever created.

Like Futuremark's PCMark 8 benchmarking suite, 3DMark is yet another favorite among enthusiasts and reviewers alike. In fact, it has been part of the APH Networks' battery of standard benchmarks since the very beginning. The latest iteration of 3DMark is available in four presets. This includes Fire Strike, Sky Diver, Cloud Gate, and Ice Storm; each in decreasing order of GPU dependency. Since this is an mITX motherboard, I decided to test with integrated graphics. As you can see in our graphs above, once again, the overclocked Intel Core i7-6700K provided very little gain, if at all, compared to running it at stock with Turbo Boost enabled. For the more GPU dependent tests, such as Fire Strike and Sky Diver, the score did not increase. Actually, for Sky Diver, it even dropped slightly, probably due to motherboard throttling issues. For the remaining two tests, which were more CPU dependent, the gain was less than 5%.
