About AIDA64 Engineer Edition

AIDA64 Engineer is a streamlined Windows diagnostic and benchmarking software for engineers. AIDA64 Engineer provides a wide range of features to assist in overclocking, hardware error diagnosis, stress testing, and sensor monitoring. It has unique capabilities to assess the performance of the processor, system memory, and disk drives. AIDA64 is compatible with all current 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

AIDA64 implements a set of 64-bit benchmarks to measure how fast the computer performs various data processing tasks and mathematical calculations. Memory and cache benchmarks are available to analyze system RAM bandwidth and latency. Processor benchmarks utilize MMX, SSE, XOP, FMA, AVX and AVX2 instructions, and scale up to 640 processor threads. For legacy processors all benchmarks are available in 32-bit version as well. AIDA64 Disk Benchmark determines the data transfer speed of hard disk drives, solid-state drives, optical drives, and flash memory based devices.

As usual at APH Networks, we push our hardware to the limits to produce results and have graphed it for your convenience. As aforementioned, most motherboard models perform almost identically, we chose to overclock the Intel Core i7-4770K CPU to test the G1.Sniper Z87's potential performance in overclocking. From the results shown on the graphs above, you can see quite a variance. However, if I were to make an educated guess, results between most boards would vary slightly according to stock and overclock settings, respectively. For your reference respective to each of the results above, the percentage increase from stock to overclocked is approximately 16%, 32%, 13%, and 16%. This is probably due to how Turbo Boost is allocated at stock settings. Generally, these differences are pretty decent, given the performance from overclocking is almost free. Like the saying goes, "Give it 110%," and you got yourself a good start. Stepping back and taking a look at the big picture, 10% performance increase is already pretty good, but we have gone past that in every single result. It is like giving me more than 10% pay increase every year, which I will gladly accept, haha.
