Our first set of benchmarks involves tests from our favorite computer diagnostic software -- EVEREST Ultimate Edition 4.50. In the set of four CPU benchmarks, the Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 had a 5.5% performance advantage over the previous generation E6600 Conroe. In this case, the Wolfdale had a slight cache disadvantage, so the 5.4% clock speed increase did not always yield reciprocating performance. The E7200 did lead throughout though.
