Since our SSD review benchmark results are presented in alphabetical order, first up on the list are results from one of our favorite benchmarking programs, AIDA64 Extreme Engineer. Just to note, AIDA64 Extreme Engineer is a full synthetic benchmark. Unlike full synthetic motor oil, this usually does not carry a good connotation, but it does provide valuable insight into performance between different drives and different controllers. As you can see in our graphs above, the tried-and-true SandForce based Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB is definitely among the best. Delivering linear read results of about 527MB/s, random read of 603.3MB/s, and buffered read of 520.7MB/s, it is a nice improvement over the V+200 120GB. Its average access time of 0.10ms is a little better than industry average. Things are turning out quite well for the Kingston drive so far!
