LG Music Flow P5 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

As one of our forum members pointed out, this speaker is from one of the larger consumer electronics company we have ever taken a look at. This usually means there will be a higher cost, as some of the money will go to marketing in addition to product development. However, with the LG Music Flow P5, I can tell you for sure enough went into making this Bluetooth speaker into a very refined experience. Looking at the physical qualities, LG has nailed a simplistic and clean look, allowing it to blend in with its surroundings. The excellent material choices and build quality is great to see in addition to its solid feel. I am also happy to report the audio quality was beyond what I expected for a Bluetooth speaker of this size. Comparing it with other similarly sized speakers revealed that the LG Music Flow P5 was a cut above the rest, with a clean output and generally good characteristics throughout. Any of the deficiencies I found with the sound was in line with small speakers in general, rather than a specific problem with this model. On the other hand, there are still some things I think LG could have done to improve their portable speaker. First would be to add NFC Tap to Pair, as this is a common feature found on many different Bluetooth devices. Secondly, I would have liked to see a native battery indicator without the need to install the application. Thirdly, some may actually find the LG Music Flow P5 just a bit too heavy to carry around on a day-to-day basis, but I personally was okay with this. Taking a look at retail prices, the LG Music Flow P5 can be found for around $95 USD or $115 CAD. Considering this is hovering around a Benjamin Franklin, you may find the price a bit high, but I think it is justified. You could find cheaper Bluetooth speakers elsewhere, but the LG Music Flow P5 offers a build and sound quality that is excellent for its size, making it a great choice for your portable needs.

This Bluetooth speaker may be a bit more expensive than others, but it is clear the LG Music Flow P5 is in another class.
