Double vision is a stressful experience, but I delight in seeing multiple Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.black fans. Noctua offers a single PWM and a dual PWM Sx2-PP option, which is useful when they are used side-by-side to reduce harmonic noise. In either case, these fans show the company's mindfulness and ingenuity. The build quality is superb with the Sterrox liquid crystal polymer impeller and SSO2 bearings. Other smart design choices on the fan blade and hub show the same conscientious design focus of optimizing for an increase in cooling capability and reduction in noise. I appreciate the included accessories, such as multiple anti-vibration solutions, low-noise adapters, and splitters. In performance, the NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.black translates Noctua's meticulous design choices into reality, as the fan could move air while keeping its overall noise output low. It may not draw attention to itself with the muted colors and lack of RGB lighting, but in the name of pushing performance boundaries, I can appreciate this focus. The only thing I could suggest is to increase the cable longer than 20cm to eliminate the need for an extension, but I can understand the benefit for some users who want a shorter length. As an extension is provided by default, this is only a minor inconvenience. At the time of the review, a single NF-A12x25 G2 PWM chromax.black retails for $35, while the two pack NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP chromax.black is $65. This matches the price of the vanilla versions. It may not be the most wallet-friendly option, but there is no denying Noctua flexes their abilities in their products. As such, if you want visually muted, flagship 120mm fans, the Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.black Series is the superior premium choice.

With fans so nice, Noctua made it twice -- and the NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.black is another lineup of excellent 120mm ones that are optimized for both airflow and noise with an all-black look.
