We have seen reliable sets of memory from Patriot in the past, and the Viper Elite 5 DDR5-6400 2x16GB kit follows in these footsteps. Its unique design, with a mix of white and black, brings a clean and fresh look to your system. It may lack the RGB LED flashiness, but it still stands out from the rest. The metal heatspreaders are not too tall to cause interference with nearby components. They also ensure sufficient heat dissipation from the two sides of memory chips and the PMIC with direct thermal pads over these areas. Underneath, we have solid SK hynix chips that provide solid results and perform well across our suite of benchmarks. The Viper Elite 5 DDR5-6400 produced good numbers in both synthetic and real-world simulation tests. Unfortunately, we were not able to push the chips any further, as any overclocking of the operating speed led to instability under any workload. Even so, that should not be a major fault with the Viper Elite 5 given its solid performance, especially AM5 systems. Like other Patriot memory kits, we also have an included limited lifetime warranty, indicating Patriot stands behind their products. At the time of the review, the Patriot Viper Elite 5 DDR5-6400 2x16GB kit is available for around $80. The price of this kit is competitive for what the set offers in terms of its operating rates and latency. All in all, the Patriot Viper Elite 5 DDR5-6400 is a strong option of dependable DDR5 memory.
