Patriot Viper RGB PC4-25600 2x8GB Review (Page 10 of 10)

Page 10 - Overclocking and Conclusion

To make the most out of the products they have without actually giving you more capacity, the 2018 solution for Patriot, like many manufacturers as of late, is adding RGB LEDs. But ever since I reviewed the Patriot Viper LED PC4-24000 2x8GB and Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB PC4-24000 4x8GB lately, I am sensing a revival in overclockable high performance DDR4 memory. The Patriot Viper RGB PC4-25600 2x8GB continues this trend. Despite being already clocked at DDR4-3200 out of the box, I was still able to eke out an extra 266MHz to make it DDR4-3466, Prime95 stable, with a slight adjustment to the latencies. This translates to a decent 8.33% overclock from its Samsung K4A8G085WB-BCRC integrated circuit chips. For about $170 at press time, there is a lot to like about the Patriot Viper RGB PC4-25600 2x8GB. They are competitively priced and comes with the company's lifetime warranty. Did I mention its five zone RGB LED lighting system that you can control via software? It is one thing to add RGB to make the most out of something in 2018, but the Viper RGB is a winning formula that makes it a winner across generations: Its overclocking potential and an agreeable price tag. To finish off the story in the introduction of this review, no one has put more kilometers in a rental car in a week at their location. But this is not the whole story. We actually rented not one, but two cars from them for our road trip. "We also put 4000 kilometers on the other car," I told the manager. This, my friend, is making the most out of everything. Just like the Patriot Viper RGB PC4-25600 2x8GB.
