Did the SilverStone Air Slimmer 120 ARGB prove that ARGB LED case fans can perform as well as it looks? My simple answer is a solid yes. For starters, the Air Slimmer 120 ARGB is solidly built with fluid dynamic bearings that will get users more than enough life out of this fan. As with any case fan, the rubber dampening pads are a good design choice. The thin frame of the Air Slimmer 120 ARGB gives users the flexibility of installing this fan in the tightest of cases. When it comes to performance, the SilverStone Air Slimmer 120 ARGB provided solid airflow results that were consistent with the given specifications. While the fan did lean to the noisy side at maximum speed, this is something I would expect for a fan with airflow specifications this strong and physically this thin. The 4-pin PWM header gives users the option to have the fan run at a slower speed with precise RPM control to mitigate the noise. The RGB LED lighting is great to observe thanks to the ten LEDs placed around the fan hub. If I have any criticisms, it would be to have the fan cables be braided for improved looks instead of your regular plastic. This is a very minor criticism though, as a braided cable will not make or break a case fan by any means. At a retail price of $27 for a single fan, this does land on the expensive side. But if you are looking for a thinner fan that offers strong performance and awesome ARGB LED effects, the SilverStone Air Slimmer 120 ARGB is a choice worth considering.
