SilverStone HSW41 Review (Page 3 of 4)

Page 3 - Tests and Usage Experience

In terms of testing, the first test I performed was to see how well the HDMI output would work with multiple inputs in a professional or office use situation. I had two desktops and one laptop connected to the HSW41, while the output port was connected to my 2K monitor. The main goal of this test was to find out how quickly switching could be performed, and whether there would be any noticeable glitches during the process. After several rounds of testing, I found the performance to be quite good. In general, the input could be switched within about a second, and I did not notice any glitching or abnormal behavior during normal use.

The second test was gaming related. I connected my PS5 to the first input port, with the output connected to my 4K TV. A standard PS5 is capable of outputting up to 4K resolution, and many games target 60Hz depending on the title and graphics mode selected. Since the SilverStone HSW41 supports 4K Ultra HD at 60Hz, this was a good practical test to see whether it could handle a modern gaming console properly. Although I could not directly measure the frame rate, the gameplay felt smooth and responsive, with no obvious display dropouts, flickering, or input switching issues. Based on this experience, the HSW41 handled the PS5 well overall, and its performance was consistent with its specifications.
