Overall, the HSW41 is, as expected, a good product from SilverStone. The design is sleek and low-key in nature, and the build quality is excellent. The brushed aluminum finished case feels solid in hand, and it gives the unit a more premium feeling compared to a basic plastic HDMI switch. The input switch button also feels very good, with a satisfying response when pressed. The LED input port indicator works well with the clear labeling on the front panel, making it easy to tell which input is currently selected. All five ports, namely the four input ports and one output port, also appear to be high quality, and I did not run into any connection stability issues during testing. In daily use, the HSW41 performed exactly as I expected. Switching between multiple computers was quick, and the unit also handled my PS5 and 4K TV setup without any noticeable issues. This makes it useful not only for office or workstation setups, but also for entertainment systems where multiple HDMI sources need to share one display. The included remote controller is also a convenient addition, especially if the switch is placed somewhere not easily reachable. The only suggestion I have is that the infrared sensor could be better differentiated from the switch button. Since both are black and located close to each other on the front panel, there is a higher chance of accidentally pressing the infrared sensor instead of the actual switch button. Other than that, there is not much to complain about. At around $55 USD at press time, the price is a little bit on the higher end for an HDMI switch, but considering the solid build quality, clean design, good port layout, remote control support, and overall smooth user experience, there is a reason for the cost.
