SIVGA M260 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

The SIVGA M260 has proven itself to be a viable competitor in the affordable earphones market. It pairs a unique retro design with a well-built hardware package. Its CNC-machined aluminum body feels durable, resists fingerprints, and keeps its silver finish looking clean. The detachable, helically wound silver-plated OFC cable with MMCX connectors adds practicality, resisting tangles, and allowing replacement when it wears out. Comfort is another strength, especially with the full-wrap foam tips, which fit snugly and need little adjustment. The included case is very durable, but much larger than needed in my opinion. Therefore, the case is best stored in a backpack or suitcase rather than in a pocket. On the audio side, the M260 delivers a vocal-forward sound with natural and non-fatiguing midrange, and reasonably clean and crisp treble. Its layering is great for the price. The M260's modest soundstage, weak seal, lack of noise cancellation, and transducer limitations keep it from being perfect. All in all, I can confidently say that I look forward to continuing to use these earbuds for their simple practicality. At the time of writing this review, the M260 priced at around $38 for the 3.5mm cable, $41 for the 3.5mm with a mic, and $43 for the USB Type-C cable with a mic on the manufacturer’s website. Overall, the SIVGA M260 are competitive, budget-friendly earphones that deliver on unique aesthetics, reasonably good sound quality for the price, practicality, and comfort.
