With the Air6 HS, SOUNDPEATS have shown how they bring the fun to this form factor. Starting from a physical side, these true wireless earphones are well made. I found them comfortable to wear for extended periods and difficult to shake off by accident. The plastic shell and body are typical for this price range, but they feel durable and boast an IPX5 rating for water protection. Internally, we have the latest Bluetooth 6.0 and high resolution LDAC support. Better yet, the battery life is strong with a tested 8 hours and 40 minutes per run before needing to be recharged by the case. When it comes to audio reproduction, it has a satisfyingly fun-sounding slight V-shaped signature and brings decent bass, mostly clear vocals, and bright trebles. Soundstaging was decently wide and altogether the layers were distinguishable. On the other hand, the listening experience was not perfect either as the devil was in the details. Each of the regions lacked definition at times and had some less-than-ideal characteristics. Furthermore, I would have liked a bit more depth in the sound image. It should also be noted that the audio experience is also dependent on the fitment of the Air6 HS, as slight jostles may change the perceived sound. The last thing I want to see improved is SOUNDPEATS mobile application. Not only is it cluttered, but the persistent need for login and location permissions is frustrating to deal with. Even so, the Air6 HS is still a solid product. As for pricing, SOUNDPEATS brings the fun with an MSRP of $40 with possibilities to bring this further down to a sub $30 price with a coupon. Even if you miss this reduced price, the Air6 HS is an immense value for its capability, making it a cheap and cheerful option for prospective buyers.
