Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 could be seen as the little brother to the successor of the Stealth 600 Gen 2, as we have reviewed both that and the Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX. Regardless, the Stealth 600 Gen 3 is truly an excellent headset in its own right. The audio quality for the Stealth 600 Gen 3 is adequate, having a slightly more emphasized bass and slightly recessed treble on Turtle Beach’s signature profile. This balance was adequate for gaming scenarios, and I had no issues with pinpointing enemy positions. The plastic build is good, having very little creaking issues when twisting and turning. The headband can be adjusted to fit comfortably. The cushioning all around felt nice and soft, while feeling quite breathable. Upon unpacking, the headset was ready to go. The setup process was simple and straightforward. Turtle Beach Swarm II is a great piece of software when it comes to fine tuning the headset to the user’s desires. Wireless capabilities and battery life were two categories that I am always impressed with when it comes to the Stealth 600 series. Sporting a tested battery life of over 80 hours at 50% volume with a consistent wireless connection in my tests was simply amazing. When it comes to music, the soundstaging and layering has room for improvement. The microphone was adequate, trading off some of my voice audibility to reduce background noise. My voice was left intact and natural enough. At a price of $100 at press time, this matches the value proposition of the Stealth 600 Gen 2. The quality matches this price range, if not even a small step above this price bracket based on my usage experience. This is a great midrange headset for any gamer looking for some wireless freedom. Overall, the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 is a nice and comfortable gaming headset with excellent battery life.
