XPG Levante 240 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

You know, there are actually a lot of recipes that call for things to be chilled quickly. I know most can be thrown into the fridge for a while, but what if it is too big? Someone should get on that, or let me know if such a solution already exists. (What if we just put it outside? We are in Canada anyway. - Editor) Fortunately, computers do not have the same issue. In the introduction, I mentioned that the XPG Levante 240 promises great performance and excellent aesthetics, and it mostly delivered. The ARGB LEDs and the neutral black color looks great. It ensures the XPG Levante 240 will fit into any build and amaze anyone who looks at your computer. Build quality is also up to par as we would expect from an Asetek OEM product, with the aluminum radiator and copper water block guaranteeing great performance. Furthermore, the tubes are sleeved, adding that extra bit of refinement. Installation was smooth and clear, although I am not entirely happy with the plastic backplate. It can easily go wrong if you overtighten the screws. Otherwise, the XPG Levante 240 performed well in our tests. However, there was a bit of extra noise from the pump, which could have been avoided by design. The price for the XPG Levante 240 is no joke either, it comes in at around $150 USD. This is a steep price, and you can tell you are really paying for the ARGB LEDs. Other options exist with similar performance albeit minus the flashy LEDs. It really is up to you if you want to spend the extra cash on LEDs or not. Overall, the XPG Levante 240 is a good cooler, but its pump noise output could be improved upon.

The XPG Levante 240 is a worthwhile entry into the closed loop water cooler market, but requires some refinement in the pump noise department.
