From DailyTech: Pentax has unveiled a new D-SLR camera called the K-x today that is aimed at the buyer looking to get their first D-SLR and move up from the point-and-shoot world. The camera packs some very nice features into an affordable package. One of the coolest things about the K-x is that it is available in several colors including black, white, red, and navy blue. The red and blue cameras will only be available at limited locations. The camera has a 12.4-megapixel CMOS sensor and has sensor-shift Shake Reduction for both still shots and video recording up to four stops. The camera can record 720p HD video at 24 frames per second using any Pentax lens. The rear LCD is a 2.7-inch unit and has Live View and Face Detection for up to 16 faces. The K-x also has integrated creative filters for high quality images. Three bracketed images can be combined into one picture for improved highlights and detail with HDR capture mode. The cam can shoot continuous bursts at 4.7 frames per second and the shutter can fire in 1/6000 of a second to capture fast action. Several automatic modes are included with picture and scene modes offered as well. An 11-point autofocus mode system promises fast focusing and tracking. View: Article @ Source Site |
