Zotac Launches Super Compact MEK Mini Gaming PC

From PC Mag: If you need a new gaming rig, but are limited by space either on or under your desk, Zotac has the desktop PC for you. It's called the MEK Mini, and it packs a lot of performance into a super compact case.

The MEK Mini measures just 261-by-136-by-259mm (9.18 liters and 4.05kg), but manages to pack inside a six-core Intel Core i7-8700 running at 3.2GHz with 16GB of 2,666MHz DDR4 RAM, a Zotac GeForce RTX 2070 8GB graphics card, a 240GB NVMe M.2 SSD, and a 2TB 2.5-inch hard drive. There's also Killer AC 1550 Wi-Fi, Killer E2500 gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 3.1 ports, mic and headphone ports, and Bluetooth 5 support.

Zotac claims the MEK Mini is "whisper quiet" despite packing all those high performance components into such a small space. That's because the case has 360 degree ventilation, sucking cool air in through the bottom and sides, while ejecting hot air from the top and rear

A single switch allows easy access to memory and storage inside the case, and Zotac sees this as a "pick up and go" system, making it ideal for LAN parties, esports, or a quick repositioning for use with a virtual reality headset. There's also adjustable LED lighting built into the front of the case, which is controllable with the included SPECTRA 2.0 software.
