From PC Mag: Spotify this week unveiled a new video podcast feature that lets users listen and watch select series. The feature is available now to all free and Premium subscribers in markets where podcasts are supported.
Tune into an episode of Book of Basketball 2.0, Fantasy Footballers, The Misfits Podcast, H3 Podcast, The Morning Toast, Higher Learning with Van Lathan & Rachel Lindsay, and The Rooster Teeth Podcast to enjoy what Spotify called "a visual and audio feast."
Simply press play on your desktop or mobile app to get started. A creator-made video should automatically launch and sync with your audio feed, allowing you to actually see the hosts—possibly for the first time ever. (My attempt to watch Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay dissect Jada Pinkett and Will Smith's Red Table Talk resulted in a lot of chatter but no visual aid.)
Want to continue listening while multitasking between apps or after locking your device? No problem! The podcast will continue playing as usual in the background, while the video disappears—saving space and data. Users can also download audio to their mobile device for on-the-go entertainment.
