Verizon Expands Home Internet to 10 More Cities

From PC Mag: Verizon is expanding its 5G home internet service to 10 more cities over the next two weeks, bringing its total count to 28.

On March 18, it'll add Cleveland, Las Vegas, Louisville, Omaha, and San Diego. On March 25, it'll add Charlotte, Cincinnati, Hartford, Kansas City, and Salt Lake City.

That adds to the current list of Phoenix; Los Angeles; Orange County, CA; Sacramento; San Francisco; San Jose, CA; Denver; Miami; Atlanta; Chicago; Indianapolis; Detroit; Minneapolis; Saint Paul, MN; St Louis; Arlington, TX; Dallas; and Houston.

However, Verizon didn't say exactly where in those cities people would be able to sign up for the $70/month unlimited home internet service ($50/month for Verizon Wireless subscribers). The system currently uses Verizon's short-range millimeter-wave network, which it says will give people maximum speeds of 1Gbps with typical download speeds of 300Mbps and upload speeds of 50Mbps.
