ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB Review (Page 11 of 11)

Page 11 - Conclusion

With the advent of budget NVMe drives like the Toshiba RC100 and even mainstream performance NVMe SSDs like the Crucial P1, how good are the latest high performance NVMe models? The answer is very good. The ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB is a performance NVMe solid state drive that shows speed does not mean you need to break the bank. Our comprehensive results in the last eight pages demonstrate it. The SX8200 Pro is consistently a class above mainstream performance models like the Crucial P1 with anything ranging from Crystal Disk Mark to our epic PCMark 8 Storage Consistency test; meanwhile completely obliterating budget NVMe SSDs across the board. It came in consistently just behind the latest Western Digital Black SN750, and I have to point out the SN750 of equivalent capacity costs an extra 20% more at press time. Still, corners were not cut. ADATA throws in an XPG heatsink you can install yourself as well as a 5-year warranty. Its 320TBW write endurance rating is even better than the 500GB SN750. For about $100 at press time, ADATA's XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB is a very compelling product. If you are looking for something that will deliver in performance both in light regular day-to-day use to extremely intense workloads, this SSD is a top pick for the price.
