If there is one thing we have not written about in a while, it is the stories from our church summer conference. For the past three years, it had been canceled and while this decision was understandable, I dearly missed this annual tradition. There were some changes this year around, including almost everyone having their own dorm room, as well as new facilities and buildings. On the other hand, some things remained exactly as expected, even after three years of no conferences. First of all, it lasted for four days, as opposed to all our other typical three-day camps. Secondly, we stayed up very late, and some people did not even sleep at all and waited for the sun to rise. Thirdly, we ate rather mediocre food, although this year may have been below our already low standards. This was especially bad when we decided to go out for food rather than eat in the cafeteria on the last dinner. Finally, every night was filled with instant noodles, table tennis, and McDonald's runs. However, best of all was the time spent with others, including those I do not usually talk to. As I wrote previously in my review of the ROCCAT Kain 120 AIMO, being able to connect or reconnect with others is one of my favorite parts of the summer conference weekend, even for an introvert like me. This definitely contributed to the second point of staying up late, but the 4AM chats that happened during these times was well worth the lack of sleep. In a similar fashion, when Antec sent us their latest flagship case, the Performance 1 FT, I had a list of expectations while also hoping to see some new surprises. How does the Antec Performance 1 FT match up? Let us read on to find out!
Today's review unit of the Antec Performance 1 FT was shipped to our APH Networks offices here in Calgary, Alberta. This large container was seemingly shipped via Apple Express from the Amazon warehouses in Calgary, Alberta, at least according to the label on the side. This box arrived in relatively average condition with one tear at the top edge of the box. As this shipping container is also the same as the retail container, you can get a better look at the box itself. This side panel shows off an outline of the front and top of the Performance 1 FT with the company logo and product name on the other side. As you can see, they have fully spelled out FT and this refers to the fact we have a full-tower case. On the other side, we have some closeups of the internals of the computer enclosure and some highlighted features below. Otherwise, we do have some specifications on another panel.
Before we continue, I have grabbed the specs from the manufacturer's website for your viewing pleasure:

Out of the box, we have the Antec Performance 1 FT wrapped in an opaque white Styrofoam bag with two large Styrofoam brackets on the top and bottom. A separate cardboard box is also found here containing some case accessories that we will explore later on. Otherwise, it seems like the ripped edge did not have a negative effect on the contents of the box, which is good to see.
