This USB device solves the problem of connecting professional cameras for recording and streaming purposes in a very straightforward way. From the outset, the capturing device is small and light for portability. I appreciate the mounting elements with the integrated tripod mount and the included cold shoe plate to sit on your camera. Its capturing resolutions, while not as extensive as a typical game capture card, are more than sufficient for most users, with the ability to capture up to 4K at 60fps and 1080p at 240fps. Better yet, the simplicity of the AVerMedia CamStream 4K BU113G2 is truly found while using the device. Once you plug it in to your computer, your camera can immediately be used as a video source. You can always use AVerMedia's Streaming Center for a bit more customization and options, but you can also use it with native applications. The capture card did not affect the quality in any negative way. There was very little-to-no perceived latency during recording, and the captured footage did not reveal any issues either. If there was something to nitpick, I would have liked to see an HDMI cable included to connect between your camera and the device, as you will need to provide your own. At the time of the review, the AVerMedia CamStream 4K BU113G2 is available for $120, which is competitive with other solutions while offering the best specifications on paper. Even though you could just use a capture card you might have, the AVerMedia CamStream 4K BU113G2 is an effortless solution for those needing a high-quality video source.
