About ATTO Disk Benchmark
The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Following up next are our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. For the most part, it is a favorite among reviewers, and I have grown to embrace it as much as the next for the last little while. ATTO uses easily compressible data, so compression-heavy controllers will perform very well here.
As far as the Phison PS5031-E31 controller on the P510 1TB is concerned, well, here are our results. The Crucial P510 1TB peaked at 10100MB/s read and 8310MB/s write. Under the read curve, it could not keep up with the rest of the compared drives until 128K, crossing over at 256K, and did not stop until hitting five-digit read speeds.
Under the write curve, the Crucial P510 1TB was much more competitive, significantly outperforming the T500 2TB until almost across the entire curve. It was consistent with the other compared SSDs until 16K, where it pulled away quickly afterwards. Overall, the Crucial P510 1TB's performance was pretty good for a next generation mainstream performance drive, thanks to the fast PCIe 5.0 interface.
