About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Following up next are our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. For the most part, it is a favorite among reviewers, and I have grown to embrace it as much as the next for the last little while. ATTO uses easily compressible data, so compression-heavy controllers will perform very well here.

As far as the Crucial X10 Pro 2TB is concerned, well, here are our results. It peaked at 1880MB/s read and 1630MB/s write. Under the curve at small to medium transfer sizes up to 16K, it was very similar to the X9 Pro 2TB. The X10 Pro also started also started off faster than other NVMe-based solutions like the Western Digital Black P50 Game Drive SSD 1TB, ADATA SE880 1TB, LaCie Rugged SSD 1TB, Lexar SL660 BLAZE 1TB, and the pair of Crucial X8s. In the read test, it was similar to the X9 Pro 2TB and slower than the Western Digital Black P50, ADATA SE880 1TB, Lexar SL660 BLAZE 1TB, and the pair of X8s up to 32K. At 64K and above, the Crucial X10 Pro 2TB flexed its muscles and left the non-USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 competition in the dust. Its peak speed was a good margin below the Western Digital Black P50 Game Drive SSD 1TB, but was almost identical to the SL660 and SE880. Overall, the Crucial X10 Pro 2TB's performance was excellent thanks to the fast USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface.
