The Crucial X8 1TB continued to dominate as we move into our Crystal Disk Mark sequential read and write results. Once again, it crushed everything else, but this is to be expected given there is an NVMe drive inside. Its sequential read and write results generally reflect what we have seen in the past two pages. At 937.4MB/s sequential read and 912.6MB/s sequential write, it fell a bit short compared to the advertised numbers this time around, but we already got it in ATTO. As we move into the 4KiB Q8T8, 4KiB Q32T1, and Q1T1 territories, which require high input/out operations per second or IOPS, the Crucial X8 1TB continued to blow all the other tested USB flash drives out of the water, but was not as fast as the LaCie Mobile SSD in all but one test. Traditionally, this has always been a weak point for USB flash drives and a strong point for solid state drives as we can see here.
