Epomaker continues to flex their ability to produce solid keyboards and the HE108 does not really test our patience in any way. This 108-key keyboard is built well, even with its full plastic body and polycarbonate plate. It may flex a bit more, but nothing feels outright flimsy. The standard feature set we have seen from Epomaker includes items like PBT double-shot keycaps, hot-swappable switches, RGB LED backlighting, two-step kickstands, and dedicated volume controls. The keycaps are also shine-through, which makes the backlights useful in darker environments. The typing experience of the HE108 is satisfying in both sound and tactile feel. The Epomaker Creamy Jade HE switches sound higher pitched while feeling smooth and satisfying in travel and bottoming out. Internally, the sound is aided by many insulating layers for both noise and feel. The flex cuts in the plate and PCB also add to this. Its Hall effect switches also makes for analog features that allow further customization. The other solid aspect is the battery life, as its total 10000mAh battery capacity translates into twelve days of mixed use over an increased 8000Hz polling rate. If there are things I want to see Epomaker improve, the first is the software utility. Epomaker Driver feels unrefined and unpolished. I also would like to see more color options available for the HE108. At the time of the review, this full-size keyboard has a reasonable MSRP of $95. At its regular price, the Epomaker HE108 brings many solid features at a reasonable price in a full-size body.
