The Epomaker HE65 V2 TMR is a great option when it comes to a standard TMR keyboard. The packaging offered was adequate in terms of protection and the included accessories all aid to the experience. The build quality is good, even for an ABS plastic build. The appearance is consistent with a nice clear appearance. The clear aesthetic is only heightened by the use of its bright RGB LED lighting. The software used is Epomaker Driver 4.0 which is all inclusive in controlling not only the lighting options, key remapping, and macros, but also all of the typical magnetic switch settings such as rapid trigger. In terms of performance, the Epomaker Creamy Jade magnetic switches feel quite good with a nice medium “thock”. This sound profile is fine-tuned by the keyboard’s nice foam usage, but some may say it is over the top. The linear nature of the switch was quite familiar and felt very smooth, as it is pre-lubricated. If you prefer a different switch, the HE65 V2 TMR is hot-swappable, but make sure you are using magnetic switches. Being a TMR keyboard, the battery life is quite reasonable, lasting about 30 hours with RGB on at a 1000Hz polling rate. When it comes to legending, everything looks quite good, but the use of silk printing does mean that the wear may be noticeable. At a price of $100 USD at press time, the Epomaker HE65 V2 TMR is a good choice for anyone looking for a stylish competitive edge.
