Page 4 - Conclusion
On paper, the Epomaker HE75 Mag offers a solid feature set, building on the excellent additions we have seen in past Epomaker keyboards. This includes the functionality of wired and wireless operation, double-shot PBT keycaps, south-facing RGB LED lighting, a dedicated volume knob, two-level kickstands, and support for both Windows and Mac layouts. I appreciate the built-in storage location for the USB adapter when it is not in use. Inside, we have layers of padding and damping material that will help make a good typing experience. Both the plate-mounted stabilizers and switches are factory lubricated for a smooth and rattle-free use. Furthermore, the use of Hall effect switches and support for 8000Hz polling rate should be advantageous for gamers. In performance, the results are a bit more mixed. Its 75% layout is easy to get used to, and the Gateron KS-20 Magnetic White switches are decent. On the other hand, there are three areas that are less favorable. For one, the battery experience is subpar, even if it meets Epomaker's expectations. At two days with RGB lighting and five days without, I want a bit more. Secondly, the typing experience is decent, but not to my preference. Even aside from the muted audio feedback, the soft bottoming out is not satisfying. Finally, the Epomaker Driver is unpolished, and I would avoid it altogether. At the time of review, the HE75 Mag is available for $100, which is reasonable for a keyboard of this feature set. The Epomaker HE75 Mag is still a solid option if you are looking for a wireless Hall effect option, but I would suggest trying it out, especially for the typing feel, before buying.
