Half-Life 2: Lost Coast is traditionally a very popular benchmark for video cards for its efficient use of hardware, as well as excellent HDR implementation and facial textures. The Source engine scales fairly well with different cards; and at 1680x1050 with everything maxed out with AA and AF as manipulated variables, the Gigabyte 8800GT TurboForce is again 3-4 frames behind the higher memory clocked Asus 8800GT TOP out of the box. This is certainly well within expectations and the Gigabyte card is fast and consistent with everyone else.
