About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Following up next is our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is one of my favorite benchmarks for quite a while. Ever since we have started using it in my network attached storage reviews a few years ago, it has been integral to our battery of storage performance evaluations here at APH Networks -- mainly due to its accuracy, and thorough testing in accordance to varying transfer sizes. As you can see on our graphs above, its read performance greatly exceeds its write performance; peaking at 144.487 MB/s and 92.921 MB/s, respectively. I think Kingston greatly underestimated its performance with a rating of only 135MB/s read and 40MB/s write. If you look closely at the curves above, the Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ G3 32GB is actually better than the ADATA DashDrive Elite UE700 64GB in 8K read and writes and below. The UE700 was the former winner in this area. Obviously, it did not peak as high as the DashDrive, but with small file write speed than the competition, it will make quite a difference in the real world shall the situation arise. Compared to the DataTraveler Locker+ G3 32GB at 18.7MB/s peak read and 14.8 MB/s peak write, the Locker+ G3 certainly posts a huge performance gain. Furthermore, while the Locker+ G3 lags behind the Vault Privacy 3.0's 157.594 MB/s peak read, it absolutely whoops its 45.652MB/s peak write figure. Color me impressed.
