Rearranging the order for our presentation of solid state drive benchmarks in alphabetical order, results obtained from FinalWire's popular AIDA64 benchmarking and diagnostic program is the first set of graphs to make the list. As expected, the Kingston HyperX 120GB performed well within expectations; easily keeping up with the Patriot Pyro 120GB. As you can see in our graphs above, it hit exactly 500MB/s in the linear read test suite, just like all the other 25nm SandForce SF-2281 SSDs. Meanwhile, it took a lead even ahead of the OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS in the Random Read section, but traded spots with the Pyro in the Buffered Read category. This set closes off with a random access test, where the Kingston HyperX 120GB ended up right between the two OCZ SF-2281 based drives and consistent with the Patriot SSD.
