About AIDA64 Extreme Edition
AIDA64 Extreme Edition is a streamlined Windows diagnostic and benchmarking software for home users. AIDA64 Extreme Edition provides a wide range of features to assist in overclocking, hardware error diagnosis, stress testing, and sensor monitoring. It has unique capabilities to assess the performance of the processor, system memory, and disk drives. AIDA64 is compatible with all current 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Since our SSD review benchmark results are presented in alphabetical order, first up on the list are results from one of our favorite benchmarking programs, AIDA64 Extreme Edition. As you can see in our graphs above, the Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB produced some of the best results we have seen in the past little while. While this is only a synthetic benchmark, we can see that the Kingston drive is competitive even against the OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS and OCZ Vertex 4 -- with some results actually ellipsing that of the renowned enthusiast drives.
